Rules & Regulations

To complete your contest entry, you must read and agree to the following contest rules and regulations (the “Contest Rules & Regulations”). Participation in the Contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of the Contest Rules & Regulations. 

1. Sponsor and Administrator  

This Ultimate Alberta Culinary Experience contest (the “Contest”) is hosted by Alberta Beef Producers. The Contest is sponsored and administered by Alberta Beef Producers (“ABP”) 7777 10 St NE #120, Calgary, AB T2E 8A2. By participating in the Contest, each Entrant (as defined herein) agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules & Regulations.  

2. Eligibility 

The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees of ABP or any of its respective divisions, parent, subsidiary, or affiliated companies (the “Sponsor”) and any immediate family member of an employee of the Sponsor are not eligible to participate or win a Prize in the Contest. Void where prohibited by law. 

3. Contest Period 

The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. MT on February 2, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. MT on March 31, 2026 (the “Contest Period“). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be eligible. There is one (1) grand prize and one (1) runner-up prize to be won. The two (2) prizes will be drawn on April 2, 2026. 

4. How to Enter 

In order to enter the Contest each individual wishing to participate (an “Entrant”) must visit www.allwaysalbertabeef.ca (the “Website”) and complete the entry form (which includes the Entrant’s first name, Province of residence, postal code, and phone number) during the Contest Period to enter the Contest. Limit of one (1) entry form per person. 

All eligible submissions received by ABP within the Contest Period will be entered into the draw outlined in Sections 5 and 6. 

5. Prize 

One (1) grand prize of an Alberta ranch tour, $500 (CAD) gift card to an Alberta steakhouse restaurant and 50lbs of Alberta beef, and one (1) runner-up prize of a $300 (CAD) gift card to an Alberta steakhouse restaurant and 30lbs of Alberta beef (the “Prize”) are available to be won. For greater certainty, the: 

  1. potential winners are responsible for any transportation related to the Alberta ranch tour and the Alberta steakhouse;
  2. Alberta ranch tour will occur before December 31, 2026 and will be at a ranch selected at the sole discretion of ABP;
  3. Alberta steakhouse gift cards to an Alberta steakhouse selected at the sole discretion of ABP, will be issued digitally or by mail; and
  4. Sponsor will ship the Alberta beef to the winners at a Canadian mailing address provided by the potential winners, however, once shipped, the Sponsor is not responsible for any delays or issues with the shipping and delivery of the Alberta beef.

The Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred or substituted. The Sponsor has the right, in their absolute discretion, to make substitutes of equivalent kind or value in the event of unavailability of any component of the Prize for any reason whatsoever.

6. Winner Selection & Notification 

The two (2) potential winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will be completed by an ABP staff member on April 2, 2026. Potential winners will be contacted within ten (10) business days following the draw date. Potential winners must claim the Prize within fourteen (14) business days after being notified of being a potential winner, or within an acceptance time limit at the sole discretion of ABP. 

Upon selection as a potential winner, and before being declared a winner, the potential winner will need to provide valid proof of identity, age and residence, and any other relevant documentation requested by ABP, and complete a declaration of eligibility and liability/publicity release (a “Release Form”), which includes correctly answering, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified or otherwise determined to be ineligible, ABP may, in its sole discretion, hold another random draw to determine an alternate potential winner.  

The Sponsor is not responsible, whether as a result of human error or otherwise, for any failure to contact any potential winner.  

7. Conditions of Entry 

Entrants: (i) acknowledge compliance with these Contest Rules & Regulations including all eligibility requirements; and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of ABP, made in their sole discretion, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Entrants who have not complied with these Contest Rules & Regulations are subject to disqualification. 

8. Use of Name and Submitted Content 

By entering the Contest, Entrants consent to the possible public display of their first name, last initial, city and province of residence and photograph, image and/or likeness in connection with the promotion of the Contest and ABP campaign. 

9. Use of Personal Information 

By entering the Contest, Entrants agree to the collection and use of their personal information (including name, address and phone number) by the Sponsor for the purpose of administering the Contest and for future promotional or informational purposes (e.g., newsletters), subject to applicable law.

10. Use of Entries  

The Entrant represents, warrants and covenants that the Sponsor’s management and operation of the Contest will not infringe or violate any privacy or personality rights of any Entrant. 

11. General Conditions 

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if any factor interferes with its proper conduct. Submissions that are late, lost, illegible, or incomplete are void. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of receipt. The Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures or other issues that may prevent an Entrant’s participation. 

12. Limitation of Liability 

NOT WITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION CONTAINED IN THESE CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE SPONSOR OR ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO AN ENTRANT FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR AGGRAVATED DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, HOWSOEVER CAUSED AND REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OR CAUSE OF ACTION (INCLUDING IN TORT, CONTRACT, INDEMNIFICATION, FUNDAMENTAL BREACH, GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF SUCH DAMAGES ARE FORESEEABLE OR IF THE PARTY KNEW OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 

13. Intellectual Property 

The Sponsor shall own and retain all rights, title and interest in and to: (i) all information, data or other content that is generated by or used in connection with the Contest (collectively “Sponsor Content”); and (ii) the Contest, and including any and all registered and unregistered rights granted, applied for or otherwise now or hereinafter in existence under or related to any patent, copyright, trade-mark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights laws, and all similar or equivalent rights or forms of protection in any part of the world (“IP Rights”) in any of them. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that it has no right, license or authorization with respect to the Contest or the Sponsor Content (including any IP Rights) except as expressly set forth in these Contest Rules & Regulations. 

14. Disqualification 

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant found, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor, to be tampering with the entry process or violating these Contest Rules & Regulations. 

15. Social Media Disclaimer 

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or any other social platform. By participating, Entrants release those platforms of any responsibility. 

16. Damaging the Contest 

Any attempt by an Entrant or other individual to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operations of the Contest, including, but not limited to, any fraudulent claims, is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

17. Fraud 

Should any draw indicate that an Entrant is entitle to win a Prize and that representation is alter deemed to have occurred as a result of an error of any kind in connection with the Contest, or as a result of fraud, then the Entrant’s eligibility to entitlement of such Prize will be decided in accordance with the terms and conditions of these Contest Rules & Regulations. 

18. Disputes 

If a dispute arises relating to a Prize won between an Entrant and the Sponsor, a combination of factors will be assessed in determining if that Entrant is in fact eligible to win a Prize. ABP will determine that Entrant’s entitlement to any Prize. In no event will the Sponsor be liable for more than two (2) prizes. 

19. Governing Law 

The Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial (except for Quebec) and Municipal laws. 

20. Rule Amendments 

ABP reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend or modify these Contest Rules & Regulations, or modify, cancel or suspend this Contest, without prior notice for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation in the event that any cause beyond the reasonable control of ABP corrupts, or threatens to corrupt, the security or proper administration of the Contest. 

21. Interpretation 

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Contest Rules & Regulations, or the rights and obligations of all Entrants and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Province of Alberta. All Entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the Province of Alberta.  

22. Enforceability 

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Contest Rules & Regulations shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Contest Rules & Regulations shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. In particular, Sponsor employees are not authorized to waive, modify or amend any provision or provisions of these Contest Rules & Regulations in any manner whatsoever.
